Praying People Needed!

Back in May I started the page on Facebook: Praying People which invites people to post and prayer on the wall and pray for others. And it has grown to over 7,500 members (fans) and the number of prayer requests is amazing. So much need, so much pain! So I am doing a shout out for people to head over to the page, become a fan and offer prayers of support and care.

Prayer4U

I have just set up a new Twitter account that aims to gather together a community of people to pray for each other. Called Prayer4U the idea is that in following you will receive the prayer requests as they come in. Prayer Request

From time to time I highlight prayer needs through my blog and one serious prayer request arrived in my in-box today. It concerns my colleagues in the Bible Society of Palestine. They have a book shop located in Gaza and the staff work within an unbelievably hostile environment. Recently they received a serious bomb threat from a militant Islamic group in Gaza to blow the building up if the shop remains. Last October Rami Ayyad the manager of the Bible Society bookshop in Gaza, , was kidnapped and killed.

So I invite your prayers for this difficult and dangerous situation.

Baby Milly

I invite your prayers for a very sick baby called Milly. I heard about Milly through Jessica Knott, one of the fine Bible Society staff in the UK. Jessica states,

Milly has a bowel disease which means she cannot ‘eat’ and until they can sort that out and remove all the diseased bowel (which seems to be growing) they cannot make her better. She has had 5 operations and has a colostomy (stoma) bag which isn’t working. Basically her bowl is leaking into her body.

So I invite your prayers for Milly.
