An Amazing Day in Guildford

May 24th, 2008

p5240002.JPGYesterday I had the most amazing day. I attended a conference in Guildford, UK about the Anglican ministry in the virtual world of Second Life. It was hosted by the Bishop of Guildford, Christopher Hill (see image) and included a range of hugely talented theologians, web experts, lawyers, members of the SL Anglican community and communications professionals.

For me the stand out achievement of the day was articulating the key issues and what is required to move the ministry forward. And significantly at the end of the day a number of people committed to arranging further indepth theological and legal investigation as well as assisting in identifying possible sources of funding.

The meeting represents an important step forward in the life of this new ministry. Praise God!!
